I am a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (UvA) within the Music Cognition Group. My PhD research focuses in the computational modeling of expressive performances through individual and collective performance styles. My supervisors are Henkjan Honing and Ivan Titov.
I hold an MSc in sound and music computing (2012, Universitat Pompeu Fabra), a BA in music technology (2006, Koninklijk Conservatorium, Den Haag) and two BMus in music theory and performance (2006, Conservatorium van Amsterdam and 2002, Conservatorio Superior de Música de Salamanca). I have as well studied Computer Science at the UNED and LIACS.
Before my PhD I worked during 1 year as a Software Test Engineer at a software consultancy, 4 years as a Producer at the dutch public broadcasting corporation (Radio4) and several years as a freelance music performer and producer.
