I am a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (MCG – UvA). My research focuses in the computational analysis and modeling of expressive performance gestures using statistical methods. I am particularly interested in studying the possible contextual influences in the development of individual performance styles. My supervisors are Henkjan Honing and Ivan Titov.
I obtained degrees in sound and music computing (MSc, 2010- 2012 Pompeu Fabra University), music technology (BA, 2002-2006 Royal Conservatoire, Den Haag) and music performance (Título Superior de Música, 2002 and BMus, 2002-2006 Conservatorium van Amsterdam). I as well followed studies in Computer Science at the UNED and LIACS. Before starting my PhD I worked as a Software Test Engineer at a software consultancy (2006-2007), as a Producer at Radio4, the dutch public broadcasting corporation (2007-2010) and as a freelance music performer and producer.
